G25-E LOGITECH STEERING WHEELS MOD
ARC_Team is glad to introduce the G-25 E MOD, a modify designed and developed for being applied to the best steering wheel realized by Logitech for gamers (that is Logitech G25).
The experience achieved from working alongside F1, GP2, World Series, F.3 and other categories drivers allied with many top level simracers, have helped us to define and realize a modify that gives more power and a better ‘cleaning’ of the Force Feedback effects on the G25. Simply put, there is an overall power increase of the force, yet that is secondary to our actual goal which is to define the feel of those forces in your hands. Compared to the original steering wheel, we changed the internal electronic board with the addition of our engineered circuit, besides to a new 48 V power supply, additionals fans for cooling and a security fuse with a switch for turning off the system.
The best simulation title for PC and consoles will be no longer the same! The driving experience will become exciting and wearing like in real life and you don't have to spend a lot of money to reproduce the forces and the feelings that a real professional driver has in his hands while he drives different kind of cars (open wheel, GT or rally). You can decide to send us yours G25, ask us to buy it for you and then apply the modify or finally, the last choice, make the mod by yourself (this is not recommended unless you have great competence with micro-electronic and micro-soldering). | How can i get one G25 modded? | You have two chances: - After you read and accept the Warranty Conditions, you send us your G25, we modify and send back (shipping and modification costs to be charged) - After you read and accept the Warranty Conditions you give us the authorization to buy a new G25 that we modify and we send at home |
| Is it possible to purchase the mod kit only for doing it by self? | Sure! It’ll be shipped with all the needed components plus the detailed step by step directions with pics/text in order to make the whole job. You can download the manual at this link. |
| What do I need to do the mod? | A soldering station with small tip, a battery operated drill with some bits, tin wire alloy for soldering, a solder sucker, tweezers, screwdrivers, nippers, hot glue gun and a regular file |
| Do everyone have the ability to do the mod? | Absolutely not, the "do-it-yourself" mod is restricted to those who are able to use a soldering station very well, furthermore an elementary knowledge of electronics is required |
| Is it necessary to replace and/or remove also some components on the original circuit board? | Yes, it's essential |
| Why is it necessary to replace the power supply? | In order to make the steering wheel true-life and harder to counterbalance is mandatory to increase the supply voltage, so the need of a new power supply, furthermore with is mod the current consumption is greater than before |
| Those two electric fans, although small, don’t like me much esthetically. Is it possible to avoid their mounting? | They are necessary. If we don’t mount the fans the overall functioning would be severely impaired, especially the two inner motors would get blown in a short time |
| About that on/off power switch you added, is it possible to not having it? | We’d rather keep it as it allows to switch off the steering wheel (the fans too) without unplugging it from the mains |
